Feel Uniques Beauty Box Gems!!!

So as you know iv been laid up a bit after a crash so yes iv been neglecting my blog a bit, but I'm back in work now and getting slowly back to normal so been itching to do some blogging.

I haven't done an update for a while on some of the fab products iv been getting whilst subscribing to Feel Uniques Beauty Box. So i thought id do a round up of some absolute gems iv been sent so far!!

Firstly one of the absolute standout products for me was Ella Bache Creme Tomate Vitamin Vibrance Cream.

Ella Bache are not a product line id ever heard of before but seems they have been going since 1936!!! Their products combine technical with high performance using only the purest of ingredients. The cream in question is made out of fresh tomatoes which are said to help purify and brighten your complexion. You simply apply a small amount onto your face and massage gently....and i have to say it left my skin feeling amazing.....soft and revived....this cream can be used as an excellent base before you apply your make up. Iv been using this most days and its one of the best radiance creams iv ever used. Just love the way it makes my skin feel......so glad iv discovered it. Fancy a pot yourself - its retailing for £35 for 50ml here.

Next product is the fantabulous Decleor Aroma Cleanse.

Now as far as cleansers go...this one hits the spot on all counts!! A simple cream but when it comes in contact with water it turns into a cleansing foam as if by magic!!

This is great for removing makeup, skin cleansing and also polishing....simply work the cream into a lather on your face and neck and then polish off with the cleansing cloth that comes with it. The result...scrumptiously clean, smooth and soft skin. It smells lovely and the best thing is a little goes a long way....one of the best cleansers iv come across.

Retails on Feel Unique for £24.20 - you can currently get this product now with a free white pouch and 2 muslin cloths.

Next one......from a brand i just recently reviewed and have totally fell in love with...the fab Di Palomo Wild Fig & Grape Hand & Nail Cream

Again not a brand i had ever heard of...but am totally a fan after my recent review of their White Grape & Aloe collection. Di Palomo create bath and beauty products which combine and English and Italian feel. They contain only the finest Italian ingredients and aromas...(i can vouch for that they smell divine!! ) and currently they have several different ranges including Orange Blossom, White Grape and Aloe and Wild Fig and Grape. The hand cream comes from the latter range and is truly a dream for your hands. Rich, no greasy and easily melts into your hands, this cream leaves them soft, subtle and smelling heavenly. Seriously if you haven't tried this brand before....give it a shot as you will not be disappointed.

The hand cream is currently retailing at £6.30 for 75ml here.

Onto a more recent discovery, Bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash.

If you havent come across Bliss they were founded in 1996 - where they basically introduced a new kind of Spa-ing for stressed out New Yorkers. Their products are all about fun...with over the top names and cute funky packaging. They have a huge range of products for face, body and hair. The product i was sent was from their skincare range.

The Fabulous foaming facewas. Its is a 2 in 1 cleanser and exfoliator. Its oil free so is ideal for removing make up. Its a lovely fruity mix up of Rosehip extract, passionflower, chamomile and milk thistle. Its also gentle enough that any skin type can use it...they even say its ideal for men to use as a stand in shaving cream!!

The gel foams easily on contact with water....its gentle scuffing action isnt too harsh on the skin and the smell is just lovely and not over powering. The result...your skin feels fabulously clean and super smooth....ideal for everyday use...just love it!!

Beauty box 2 - The return

So after last months box from the fabulous Feel Unique i have to say i was pretty excited about receiving the September selection. A little bit late this month but as an apology they added some extra little goodies in the box....great customer service...you can't say fairer than that!!

And i have to say this months does not disappoint......in fact I'm totally impressed with the range of products sent, it was literally a case of 'wow' when i opened the box!! Check this lot out!!

How can you fail to be impressed when greeted with that on opening!!!  The theme to the box this month is 'out with the old and in with the new' So what did it include altogether??

Balm Balm Tea Tree Face Balm: This is one of those multi purpose type balm that you can use on your hands, face, lips in fact anywhere that craves a bit of soothing and moisturising. 100% organic and designed to just melt into your skin.....sounds divine even before iv used it!!

New CID Cosmetics Picture Perfect Kit: This very cute little set for your lips, eyes and cheeks is designed for a combination of day to night looks. Contains 2 'i-shadows'. 'i-highlight' for cheeks, some sweet pink i-gloss and i-flutter for the eyes. Ideal handbag size!!

Elle Bache Creme Tomato Vitamin Radiance Cream: This cream contains extracts of tomato which are meant to help brighten, purify and help give you a more vibrant complexion. Describes itself as a perfect pick up for skin entering the new season!!

Di Palomo Wild Fig & Grape Hand & Nail Cream: This gorgeous smelling hand cream (i had to try a bit) contains grape seed oil, olive oil and fig fruit extracts and is designed especially for busy, hardworking hands. As i said it smells delicious, melts into the skin...a really good first impression!!

Redken Quick Dry 18 Mini: This is a finishing spray which is meant to produce a fast, firm and no fuss finish and shine. A great mini size and an ideal handbag buddy for quick fixes!!

A couple of little extras this month which were a lovely touch were a new fragrance by Elie Saab and Caudalie Day Perfecting Fluid!!

Such a great selection and really looking forward to trying the products out this month!! For those of you who were thinking about trying the Beauty Box for the first time......go for it!!! Value for money is amazing, great selection of products and the great thing is their customer service....even though the box was a bit late this month..we were constantly kept informed of delivery and then they gave us a little extra in the box to compensate....fab!

Xen Tan Transform Luxe - Update

If you remember back when i did my Feel Unique Beauty box review...one of the products in there was Xen Tan Transform Luxe gradual tanner.

Now i mentioned back then that this wasn't the sort of product i normally use and was unsure it would actually be suited to me as i have such pale skin!!

Well i had an email today from Xen Tan themselves ( the lovely Jade Hutchinson).....firstly really pleased that they have taken time out to read my blog and secondly they wanted really to clarify who the product was suitable for and it turns out that this is ideal for use on really pale skin. In fact they told me that Xen Tan grew out of the necessity for very pale skinned tanners in search of a natural glow!!

I'm one of those pale skinned girls that embraces my colour and have never really had a need or a want to enhance it, however if you are pale and craving a product that can give you a bit of a healthier glow then Xen Tan sounds ideal.

Beauty Box Product Update

So as you remember i recently had the above delivered from the fabulous Feel Unique. Basically a monthly subscription service where each month you get a set of 5 exclusive product samples to try along with discount should you wish to purchase the full version.

Iv had chance to use the products now so i thought id update you on what i thought...so first:

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer

This is basically a pre shampoo conditioning treatment, so before shampooing you simply wet your hair and apply in sections and work through the length. Dependent on your hair condition you can either work into your hair and then rinse of straight away, or if you have more damaged locks you can cover your hair and leave it in for 10-20 mins. Having coloured hair i chose the later option!!

The treatment itself is quite thick but easy to apply...the weird thing is..it has no smell whatsoever!! quite bizarre for a hair treatment, i love my hair smelling nice and gives you that satisfaction you've actually done something!! Anyway left the treatment in for 20 mins, rinsed through and shampooed etc as normal.

Did i notice any difference...well not alot to be honest, after styling etc my hair did feel a bit more softer than usual but not overly different Now considering a 75ml tube is £14 i was expecting a bit more to be honest...mind you i only had enough for one application. I think this stuff would work better on normal hair and it may be the case that prolonged use would produce better results. But i think as far as a treatment for my coloured hair i may try something else.

Decleor Foaming Cleanser

Now iv never actually tried anything from the Decleor range so was quite excited about trying this cleanser. The tube came with a cute muslin cloth which you use to rub the cleanser off after application. Its simple to use, you only need a small amount - simply wet face, apply the cleanser and it foams up pretty quickly. Has a nice subtle scent and feels lovely to apply, you then simply use the cloth to wipe all the cleanser off. I cant describe how clean my face immediately felt...zingy almost!! and the other thing i noticed..it felt really soft...and not dry like some cleansers can leave you..and i have a tendency to sometimes have dry skin..so this was a bonus!!

This stuff is fab...i love the way it leaves my skin feeling plus it also feels like my face has had a really good clean. Highly recommended in my opinion- if you fancy buying this for yourself its retailing at £20.40 for a 200ml tube.

Bare Escentuals Flawless Definition Volumising Mascara

This turned out to be a mascara that actually did what it said on the tin!!

Smudge proof - yes
Definition - yes
Volume - Yes
Paraben free - yes
Flake free - yes

Big tick on all counts....the mascara was easy to apply with a fairly longish tapered brush...my lashes never clumped, it defined them well and produced an overall dramatic effect!! I can't fault this mascara.

If you fancy buying the full price version, which i think i just might you can get it for £12.75.

Thalgo Frigimince Spray

This for me, was probably the one product i would personally never look at ever purchasing but was interested to try it out. Its basically a cooling effect spray that is designed to reduce fluid, improve the appearance of cellulite and relieve tired and heavy legs. You can use anywhere on you hips, knees, ankle and bum.

So i tried it out on my hips to start with. The spray is really fine and immediately on contact with the skin felt lovely and cooling. The scent reminds me of Vicks or Olbas oil....quite pleasant and great if you have a cold ..lol.

It left my skin with a cooling effect which was nice and did last. Obviously i can't report on the full results now as iv only been using it a while. The full price version is £27.00 for 150ml. Is it something id buy??.....well id have to say no at the moment...not really a product i need or could warrant spending £27 on...however that's dependent on longer term usage and those results...who knows it may win me over!!

Xen Tan Transform Luxe

As i mentioned previously...being a champion for the pale people...i never use any form of self tan products as i love rocking the pale, so i cant actually give you feedback on this product as yet. Hopefully ill find a suitable test subject willing to try it and will give you an update if i do!!

Feel Unique's new beauty box!!

So if you haven't heard already feelunique.com are the latest beauty company to bring us a Beauty Box which is basically a subscription based service whereby you pay a monthly or one of annual fee (Monthly only £9.95) and for that you get sent 5 deluxe beauty samples every month plus a bonus sample...this month being a sample of my favourite perfume ever..... Jimmy Choo. The box includes a product guide along with a discount if you decide to buy the full size version.....now how can any beauty addict resist!! i certainly couldn't!!

So to the box itself......the first one arrived today....and i was not disappointed!!

Came in this rather swish pull out black and pink box. Inside were the following products!!

Decleor Foaming Cleanser: Gentle cleaner for all skin types, ideal to use morning or night...came complete with a cute face cloth as well.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer: The ultimate thirst quencher for your hair. You basically use this once a week before shampooing to give you strengthened, smooth, bouncy and shiny hair....(be interesting to see how this works on coloured hair)

Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Volumising Mascara - Smudge proof and plumping...says it gives your lashes volume, definition and plumps lashes up to 600%!!!

Xen Tan Transform Luxe: A gradual tanner for the face & body that you can apply everyday to give you streak free, sun kissed skin. Now being very much an 'anti tan pale brigade' flag flyer...this isn't really a product ill use....so will try and seek out a test subject for this one!!

Thalgo Frigimince Spray: The one that's intrigued me the most. Its a spray that gives an instant cooling effect to your legs and is designed to improve appearance of cellulite, reduce fluid retention and heavy legs. Says you can use on your legs, ankles, knees, hips and bum. 

As far as beauty boxes go...this really hits the spot:

• Great selection which covers all aspects - hair, face. body and make up.
• Great price - Easily affordable and much cheaper than some other beauty box offers.
• The chance to try out deluxe products before you buy
• Discount given on purchase of full price version
• Gorgeous box....ill be using this to store more make up in!!!

All in all Feel Unique have come up with a great idea...and I'm excited now already about what next months have in store...(and i haven't even tried these products yet)
