'Must Have Alert'......Batiste Dry Shampoo

Batiste logo
Every once in a while you come a across a product that makes you go 'wow'.......that instantly becomes your new beauty essential.....this product has just become mine!!!

If you haven't heard of Batiste before they basically produce a starch based 'no water needed' range of Dry shampoo which literally zaps away oily roots, freshens your hair and adds body...... giving you an ultra quick make over in times when you don't have the time to fully wash your hair!!

They have a huge range of different sprays, which ill come to later..but the two i was sent to review are the unisex Fresh - Recent winner of the Beauty Insiders Choice award and also their soon to be released XXL Volume.

Batiste dry shampoo cans
So to the trial...first of all the packaging..the branding has a very cool retro feel to it, the cans come in 2 sizes regular 150ml (which is still quite a neat size) and then the 50ml 'on the go' version  - perfect for chucking in your handbag!!. Application is simple..there's very clear instructions on the back of the can.......literally shake the can, spray into roots, massage through with fingertips, brush and style!!

Batiste instructions
Now my hair can start to look a bit greasy after a couple of days....as the pic below shows!! But literally after spraying and a good massage......bam the greasy look was history!! The spray creates texture which is great for styling and also the smell is lovely and fresh!!

Before hair shot
After hair shot
Now with the XXL Volume version you get exactly what it says on the tin......volume..and lots of it....my hair can look quite flat at times but a few blasts of this and damn....i had more volume than Cheryl's American red carpet bouffant!!!

Think festivals, think working week - not enough time in the evenings, think after the beach...this is the ultimate busy girl's best friend.....it waves its magic wand,  zaps the grease away, gives you volume and leaves you smelling fresh as a daisy...what more could a girl want!!

What amazes me is the sheer range that Batiste have - there's Shimmer that leaves a subtle touch of glam and glitter to your hair. There's ones with a Hint of Colour available in light, medium and dark shades - these can even blend in root re-growth....the only downside...they haven't got it in a red shade (hint hint)!!!! And then lets not forget the huge array of differently scented versions such as the bold scent of Diva and the coconut fragrance of Tropical .....something for everyone!!

Batiste collection

All in all this product is amazing, an instant cult classic and something every girl should have in her beauty cabinet. If you want to try it yourself there's a huge array of retailers that stock it here. Prices range from about £1.05 for the On the Go versions up to £3.05 for the 150ml versions.

Go try this product now...i guarantee you will not be disappointed.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Batiste for sending me these shampoos to review!!Pin It

Nip + Fab ......Frown Fix Frenzy!!!

Nip + fab logo

So as you know..(if you've read my blog recently) i managed to bag myself one of Nip+Fab's Frown Fix just as the buzz was starting to escalate....its already turning into a bit of a cult product as we speak!! The words 'cult' and '7500 waiting list' etc just screamed at me....and being the girlie girl i am.....curiosity got the better of me and before i knew it...bam!! it was in the shopping basket on the Boots website...oh well....lets give it a go!!

Nip + fab frown fix

The Frown Fix comes in a pen style applicator.....you take the top off to reveal a fine brush....and then you simply turn the base of the applicator and the liquid appears as if by magic in the brush, you then easily brush on the filler to whichever expression line needs a helping hand!!

Nip + fab frown fix pen

Now I'm lucky enough to say i haven't really got that many lines as yet....so iv just used it around the eye area to give me a bit of a pick up really.....and i have to say after using it a few times you do notice a smoother appearance to the skin....so i would say if you do have a few more wrinkles and expression lines than i do......then i think you would probably notice the difference more. Its intention is to plump the skin up, smooth the lines and hydrate the skin...and yes it does do that...keep using it and the difference will be noticeable.

The cream contains amino acids which basically help the expression lines disappear....(wooohoo i hear you cry), Purslane extract is the smoothing element and then something called Centella extract which is the bit that helps reduce appearance of fine lines...with all these elements, you can see why the demand is so great!!!!

I do think some people are rushing out to get this thinking its going to be the next miracle cure and that it provides an instant change like botox....it works, but the changes are subtle and take time...so you need to give it a chance. If you have used this product and had different results, good or bad..I'd love to hear from you...just comment below!!!

The great thing about this product is how easy it is to apply...plus its a great size...pop it in your handbag and fix on the go!!

If you do fancy trying this for yourself...it is flying off the shelves at the moment...you can currently get it online on the boots here and also direct from the Nip+Fab website here.

If you have never checked out their other products, get yourself over to their website as they stock all sorts of fantastic looking skin and body fixes of which I'm gagging to review......currently got my eye on their Dark Circle Fix .......I'm not the world's best when it comes to sleep and i do find from time to time i get dark circles under my eyes after a particularly bad night... so i have been searching for a while for something  that will help combat that....could this be the fix???? Maybe I'll find out soon!!Pin It

Zoya Mod Matt Summer 2011 Collection

Sometimes you just stumble across a product that just makes you go..oooooooooh ...like a kid in a sweet shop....and this is one said product....as soon as i came across these on the net, my jaw dropped and i was furiously searching for a UK retailer (US brand)...thankfully i found it in the form of Beverly Beaute (jumps up an down excitedly)...in fact that whole site is jam packed full of ultra cool brands that would feed any nail varnish addicted woman out there!!!

But anyway, this is all about Zoya.....and if you've never heard of them before they are an international company who create nail polish that is free of toluene, formaldehyde, DBP (phthalates) and camphor. They have over 300 eye popping colours....and this particular set was the one that grabbed my attention:

Zoya fluro nail polishes
Zoya nail polish

This eye popping selection is called the Mod Matte's collection. These require no base or top coat as its all about the matte finish!!!

They come in 3 candylicious colors:

Phoebe - A shimmering sky blue

Zoya sky blue polish

Lolly - A neon bright pink

Zoya bright pink polish

Mitzi - A lucious acid lime

Zoya neon yellow polish

Mattes are definatly causing a bit of a buzz at the moment...not to everyones taste as i think we are just so used to the normal gloss effect of a varnish. I find with some mattes you do need a couple of coats as they can look streaky....and with such loud colours you need the effect to look perfect!!

These are currently retailing at £5.95 on Beverly Beaute, but if matte is not your thing, Zoya also have a huge collection of gloss, metallic and shimmer styles.

For all things Zoya you can check out their website here or alternatively follow their blog http://zoyanailpolish.blogspot.com/

Recovery & rescue with 'Eve's Balm' ..

All for Eve logo
For those of you that haven't come across All for Eve before, they are basically a beauty venture that was set up to raise funds and get the message out there about gynaecological cancer, and having lost my own mum to ovarian cancer i fully support what they are trying to do...and any raising of awareness of this is most definatly a plus point in my book!!!

They sell a wide range of products from skin care to make up....so whilst browsing the site i came across this little beauty...

Eve's Balm

All for Eve balm
Eve's Balm is basically a multi purpose balm containing a soothing blend of lavender, wild mint and chamomile...you can literally use this for any area that needs a zap of moisture or that may be chapped or ultra dry....such as your lips or face.

All for Eve balm with mirror
The balm comes in a super cute flip top pot...and comes complete with a tiny compact mirror...making it the ideal handbag buddy for an instant 'on the go' pick up!!! It doesn't leave a greasy residue and instantly replenishes the problem area leaving behind a subtle and calming aroma. Its ideal for sensitive skin types and its uses are endless....Don't let the little pot fool you either...a little goes a long way, believe me!!!

This is destined to become a skincare classic...and its only £4.95!!

100% of Eve's net profits goes to the Eve Appeal, so every purchase helps the cause. Please do check out their site, and if you do fancy buying a pot of this little miracle balm, you can buy it direct here .

Super Shatter Polish

Beauty UK logo

There's a big buzz at the moment with regards to shatter polish with brands Opi and Barry M both having very desirable shades on offer, but now there's a new contender about town as the fab Beauty UK have stepped up to the plate and launched their own version and iv been lucky enough to bag myself a full set.

Beauty UK shatter polishes

Basically if you've never used shatter polish before all you do if apply a top coat of the shatter polish over any base coat colour you desire....then watch the magic happen. Beauty UK have released 3 cool colours......Punk, an eye popping pink (were talking neon here), Goth which is jet black and Glam Rock, a funky sparkly silver. Each colour will produce a different effect dependent on your base colour...so the possibilities are endless really.

If the shatter effect isn't your bag then they have also released a Matte Top Coat Polish - this basically can change any glossy polish you have on to give it a cool matte effect!!

The best thing about this range is the price - just £2.99 a bottle.!!!!

Earthly Body Skinny Dip Body Butter

Earthly body body butter
Creams. So many times they fail to live up to the hype. Some have amazing 'come buy me' packaging then the cream itself is lacklustre. Sometimes the cream isn't that bad, but then it smells like something crawled in the pot and died. I love creams, but a certain aspect always seems to disappoint. That was until I received this little pot in the post.

Packaging - This certainly isn't a screaming ' come buy me' type of pot, with a simple screw top and subtle colours. The description has an emphasis on
'intense, long lasting, rejuvenating' properties. Yes yes yes, just what I want... but is it going to deliver?

Scent/texture - So I open the pot up and I'm greeted by the most delicious whiff of what I can only describe as a cross between cocoa butter/chocolate and almonds. It's not overpowering, quite subtle in fact. It's one of those 'close your eyes' type scents, relaxing and calming.

The cream looks whippy and thick and so inviting, I couldn't wait to dip my fingers in. It didn't disappoint either, it's luxuriously thick and creamy (the sign of a good cream). Promising so far!

Feel/moisturising properties - So I started to slather this onto my legs (freshly washed and shaved may I add, so crying out for a moisture zap). The cream felt rich and just absorbed into my legs so easily. It didn't feel greasy either which some creams do. The result? My legs felt uber-soft, completely nourished, totally pampered and enveloped in this subtle yet divine scent.

Lastability test - So does this feeling last? Damn right it does! I touched my legs after an hour or so and that soft, replenished feeling was still there. Fan-flippin'-tastic!

As an ultimate test I used this on my other half's feet which, may I add, spend most of their life in football boots. I used this cream to give him a foot massage, because of the texture it's ideal. The result was that his feet were softer then they have ever been, he loves it!

Skinny dip body butter - I salute you, you have restored my faith in creams. A divine, luxurious, calming and above all long-lasting cream. I've put this on everyday since receiving it and I smell so good I want to lick myself!

Forget those other expensive 'promise all and deliver nothing' type of creams, if you want a cream that delivers... Earthly Body Skinny Dip all the way.
